School district in VA wants Supreme Court to look at transgender bathroom policy

The school district in Gloucester VA wants the Supreme Court to take a case where the 4th circuit, normally conservative, sides with a female-to-male transgender teen who wants to sue the men’s bathroom, as in a front page story in the Washington Post Aug. 31, by Michael Balangit, link

The school district had tried to solve the issue with a gender-neutral bathroom.  The story doesn’t seem to deal with the question of changing gender on a birth certificate.
