DC eases law on surrogate parenting

Michael Alison Chandler has an important story in the Metro section of the Washington Post about Washington DC’s recent repeal of a law banning surrogacy contracts, story here.   This makes it easier for same-sex couples, and infertile couples (possibly including elderly) to start families.

Some states have laws allowing the natural mother a certain period of time in which she does not have to give up the baby.

This is not something I would do personally.
