On Friday night in DC, Cobalt Blue rules.

Well, on Friday nights, in Washington DC in 17th St, the Cobalt rules now. The crowd builds up pretty early, by 11 PM.

I didn’t know that disc jockeys play real vinyl records instead of CD’s or MP3 files. But the records were red vinyl, back from the days of old fashioned record collecting.

The dance floor has more seats around it again. The scene looks better.

And it was a dry, almost September-like night in Washington, after all the storms.

Not many people had followed the Nationals, minus Strasburg, on their blackberries. The team had won tonight.

Update (Aug 28):

Cobalt DC's website is back up, link here.
