Maryland paying more heed to issues with LGBT youth placed with hostile foster parents

Maryland is making more effort to help LGBT youth placed with foster parents who turn out to be hostile, according to a Metro section story in the Washington Post on Monday, August 29, 2016 by Denit Nirappil    One parent paid an effeminate boy to show up only when a case worker appeared.  Maryland does not yet require LGBT training for prospective foster parents, but a few states do.

Should gay couples consider serving as foster parents specifically for LGBT teens?
